Which is better, Indian or Brasilian hair?

Well, it’s really a matter of preference.   The texture of Indian hair and Brasilian hair is very which is similar to that of women from a African/American/Caribbean background.  Indian hair is flexible and durable, as well as being strong enough to withstand the numerous chemical processes that women put their hair through.  Brasilian hair has thicker strands and is denser and shinier.  Where  the hair is curly, the texture is somewhat coarser.

What products would you recommend for the hair?

There are numerous products on the market that can be used on hair extensions. Be careful when using products that contain alcohol. Alcohol can be very drying and over time can cause the hair to appear dull. Products that contain harsh detergents (sulfates) should be avoided. To extend the life of your extensions, use a sulfate free shampoo. If sulfate free shampoo is not accessible, use a good quality shampoo and dilute with water.

A good shampoo and conditioner is very important. Conditioning your hair is very important to keep hair soft and manageable.

Styling products can weigh your hair down, use sparingly. We recommend that you use a tiny drop of Shea’joi 100% Pure Argan oil which acts as a serum to boost your hair.

How many ounces or packs of hair will I need?

If you’re going to do a full head of installation, then generally speaking you will need between 6 to 8 ounces (depending on the size of your head).  If you’re buying more than 16 inches then you will need more hair to get decent fullness.  Speak to your hair stylist who will be able to advice you.

My own hair is natural; can I still wear a weave?

Welcome to the club.  It’s important that your own hair is in good condition before you put extensions on.  If your hair is natural or you’re transitioning to natural from relaxed hair, we recommend that you use a deep strengthening conditioner like 'Give me Strength' by Shea’joi

Will the hair tangle or shed?

Naturally hair will shed a little as you re-install it but it should be minimal. With proper care the hair will not tangle.

Where do you get your hair from?

YourHairRocks sources hair from Indian, and South America.  We import hair only from reputable sources that adhere to our strict need for quality control.  We are always looking to ensure that we buy only the best hair available.

Can I use the hair again after I have taken it out?

Absolutely!  That’s the beauty of YourHairRocks extensions.  Once you take it out, wash and condition the hair.  Let it air dry and it’s good to go. It’s not uncommon for some of our customers to use their hair for a couple of years depending on how they look after the hair.

What form of Payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards through PayPal. Once you checkout you will be taken to PayPal where you can put in your credit card information for processing. If you already have a PayPal account, you will be given the opportunity to log into your account to make payment. This method is both secure and fast.
