At our last Breakfast@Baker Street event, the group had a lively and in-depth discussion on a number of issues.

The key topic of the day focused on how to we can overcome challenges while pursuing our dream careers. The session was facilitated by a successful Corporate Lawyer who encouraged attendees to share their insights and experiences.

Some of the key outcomes were: 

• Keep an open mind – you may not always end up on the career path you originally intended however you can still be successful 
• We mustn't let pressure from friends, family or society lead us into career paths we truly don't have a passion for 
• Sometimes achieving your dreams can be difficult, nevertheless don't give up trying and don't put your life completely on hold either. Keep learning and developing yourself as the new skills and knowledge you gain along the way could enhance your chances of eventually achieving those dreams.

Another issue discussed at the event centred around the question of whether age really matters in love – a timely topic in light of recent high profile relationships boasting significant age gaps. It was a hotly debated topic and unsurprisingly a consensus could not be reached as there were lots of lively advocates for and against the idea.
